Town Hall Meeting

Who:  The Governor’s Small Business Advisory Council and the Small Business Development Centers are organizations to collect information regarding small business needs and concerns across the State of Colorado.  The information is utilized to inform the Governor of area needs/concerns and to develop programs that can assist entrepreneurs across the state.

What: A town hall meeting hosted by the Pueblo Small Business Development Center. 

The purpose is to gather information on issues facing small businesses in Pueblo and the surrounding areas.  In addition, the Governor’s Small Business Advisory Council and the SBDCs will be conducting similar meetings throughout the state and will refine the gathered information to be reported directly to Governor Owens and his staff.

Entrepreneurial Advice in Changing Times

He was the keynote luncheon speaker at the first annual Small Business Conference for Veterans in Denver. Brian’s advice was right on and would be helpful to anyone building a business. Local Business Counseling and Training

Twenty community based SBDC service-centers provide free one-on-one counseling services in the areas of business research and marketing, new business feasibility analysis, business plan Sbdc preparation, finance packaging and other small business topics. Local SBDCs offer workshops and seminars for business owners and act as information clearing houses. Individual local offices specialize in international trade, government procurement, manufacturing, home-based business and technology resources. The SBDC receives inputs from the SBDC State Advisory Board.
